Dec 4- 2025
His Excellency Paul Evans Aidoo, High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana to the Republic of Kenya presented his letters of Credence along with five other envoys from India, Italy, Costa Rica, Georgia and Gabon to His Excellency William Samoei Ruto, PhD, C.G.H., President of the Republic of Kenya at a colourful ceremony held on 1st December, 2025, at the State House in Nairobi, Kenya. In his statement, H.E. Paul Aidoo extended to President Ruto, the warm compliments from His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana and recalled the historically friendly and enduring relations between the two countries, which date back to the days of Presidents Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Jomo Kenyatta. He acknowledged the flourishing relations between Ghana and Kenya in both bilateral and multilateral spheres and expressed optimism that both countries would continue to work together to further deepen the prevailing symbiotic ties for collective prosperity and growth. H.E. Aidoo further noted the pivotal role of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in driving Africa’s economic transformation agenda. He affirmed his commitment to foster approaches that seek to accelerate the harmonisation of trade policies, accelerate synergistic exchanges among stakeholders in the business ecosystems, increase the flow of investments and significantly create jobs and opportunities to enhance the living standards of the people of the two countries. In his response, H.E. William Ruto, warmly welcomed the High Commissioner and guaranteed his support and the maximum cooperation of his Government to ensure the High Commissioner’s success in advancing the shared aspirations of Ghana and Kenya.
